Key 750V dc Electrical Accidents and the lessons we learn
There continue to be a stubborn number of d.c. accidents and incidents on the dc electrified lines. This course reviews the lessons learnt from these accidents and provides practical reinforcement of risk assessment and control measures appropriate to the dc electrified lines. It is suitable for managers, supervisors and anyone who has need to plan or supervise activities on dc electrified lines.

Key Substation Electrical Accidents and the lessons we learn
One of the most concerning aspects of UK Rail electrical safety is the relatively high number of substation accidents and incidents that have occurred since 2005. This course reviews the major incidents and the lessons learnt with a focus on the practical recommendations that will prevent similar occurrences. Suitable for supervisors, engineers and staff that are required to plan or complete work activities in substations.

Traction Power Electrical Safety in Rolling Stock Depots and Sidings
The last two UK Rail electrical workforce fatalities occurred in rolling stock depots. There have also been a small number of high profile prosecutions over electrical safety infringements in depots. This course reviews the lessons learnt from these accidents and prosecutions and focusses on practical risk assessment of depot and siding environments. The course is suitable for depot managers and supervisors as well as contractors that have need to undertake activities within the confines of rolling stock depots and sidings.

Electrical Safety for Non-Electrification staff 0.5 day
There are a small number of very serious electrical accidents that involve UK Rail staff who are not electrification professionals. This course looks at all of the serious accidents and the recommendations that they generated, covering both overhead and con-rail electrified areas. The course provides a short overview of the key components of electrification. The course is suitable for managers, supervisors and planning staff involved railway operations and activities on electrified lines.
